In Pope Francis’ recent visit to the slums of Kenya, he said its inhumane for people to live without basic needs like water. Our PFC team in Watamu recently came across a village where people spend a whole day queuing to receive 20 liters of water stored in jerrycans. It was a school day, but parents said they could not allow their children to go to school because of the shortage of safe drinking water. But Partners for Care has a great solution to the problem – we can deliver PackH20 water backpacks that can provide safe water for schools and homes. In contrast, jerrycans are heavy, dirty, and can never provide safe drinking water.
